Abstract: A satisfactory level of cultural competence is required to succeed in today's culturally diverse healthcare environment. Using Colaizzi's phenomenological method, data were obtained over a four month period using in-depth interviews. Conclusions include the importance of culturally competent care constructs within a BSN curriculum.
